Bordeaux, 26 February 2026 - Betclic Group, headquartered in Bordeaux, presents the results of its 2025 recruitment and is looking ahead to 2026. The European Gametech will surpass 1200 employees in Bordeaux and 1900 globally this year.
2025: A record year for employment at Betclic Group
In 2025, Betclic Group experienced strong growth driven by significant international development. The Gironde region benefited from this dynamism, as it is in Bordeaux that all technological infrastructures and gaming offers are created and developed, which are then deployed worldwide.
This growth has been reflected in a strong recruitment policy, with positions mainly on permanent contracts (75%), requiring a high level of professional expertise and excellent command of English.
Betclic Group's overall workforce has increased by over 20% in one year, primarily driven by France, where two-thirds of positions were opened in Bordeaux (400 recruitments out of the group's 600), representing a 40% increase in recruitment compared to 2024.
Betclic Group thus establishes itself in 2025 as one of the most dynamic companies in the region.
Tech and AI expertise in demand
Among the departments of the company that have seen the most significant growth:
The tech professions (software engineer, cloud architect, security engineer...), which alone represented half of the recruitments in France (nearly 200). These recruitments aimed to strengthen teams that must operate in highly technically intensive environments, where innovation is constant (gaming experience, service and data security…) to meet the expectations of the group's 5.5 million customers.
The “product” roles with employees who design online gaming solutions (sports and horse betting, poker or casino), the design, game mechanics, and the features expected by customers.
The marketing department, which brings together teams responsible for promoting the offer (advertising), animating sports partnerships, engaging on social media, and anticipating market trends.
The year 2025 was also marked by an acceleration in the recruitment of artificial intelligence experts, with a dedicated team now comprising over 100 specialists (20 recruitments in 2025).
Over 1,200 employees in Bordeaux in 2026
For 2026, Betclic plans to open an additional 200 positions in Bordeaux, thus increasing the workforce to 1,200 employees, positioning Betclic in the Top 10 of the largest employers in Gironde (all sectors) and in the Top 3 of digital employers.
This year, recruitments will mostly focus on tech and customer relations profiles:
Software Engineer: designs and develops the features of various products for millions of users.
Identity Verification Analyst: ensures compliance and security of accounts by verifying users' identities.
Data Engineer: structures and validates data flows to feed product and decision-making teams.
Product Manager: defines and drives the product roadmap to continuously improve user experience.
Customer Service Agent: assists players daily to ensure a smooth and high-quality experience.
With the ambition to reach the top 5 global online gaming operators by 2030, Betclic Group will continue to strengthen its recruitment policy. At the group level (France, Poland, Portugal, Ivory Coast and Malta), the workforce is expected to exceed 1900 employees by the end of the year.
