Bordeaux, 30 September 2026 - At the start of the 2026-2027 season, Betclic and the Ligue Nationale de Volley have announced the renewal of their partnership, which began in 2023. This new milestone confirms the desire of both partners to provide long-term support for the growth of French volleyball and to boost the visibility of its leagues, clubs, and players.

A partnership supporting the growth of French volleyball

Partners since 2023, the Ligue Nationale de Volley and Betclic are continuing their collaboration around a shared ambition: to support the structuring of French professional volleyball and boost the visibility of its three leagues – Alterna Volstar, Saforelle Volstar, and Volstar Masculine 2 – as well as its key figures.

Driven by sporting performances, growing public interest, and the development of its competitions, the discipline continues its structuring and professionalisation. The LNV's financial report notably shows a 30% increase in matchday gate receipts across all three divisions in 2024-2025. This momentum is particularly marked in Alterna Volstar, where match revenues increased by 50%.

However, this progress remains varied across leagues and clubs, reflecting an economic model that is still taking shape. The overall average budget of LNV clubs remains stable, whilst subsidies still account for 48% of total revenue across all divisions. These figures demonstrate an increasing appeal of the matches, but also highlight the consolidation challenges that still need to be addressed for the sport.1

It is against this backdrop that Betclic’s commitment to French volleyball is set. Also a partner of the French Volleyball Federation since 2023, Betclic confirms, through the renewal of its partnership with the LNV, its commitment to supporting sports with high growth potential with the same high standards and ambition as more established disciplines.

Giving greater visibility to the leagues and their key figures

Betclic's commitment to the Ligue Nationale de Volley relies notably on the group's ability to mobilise its audiences, platforms, and content to showcase professional volleyball in a new light.

Since the partnership began in 2023, the volleyball community on Betclic has continued to grow. Today, volleyball accounts for more than 15% of bettors on the app and is the 8th most wagered-on sport.

During the 2026-2027 season, Betclic will promote the three French leagues to its 5.5 million players, notably by offering live streaming of their matches on its app and through various activations, both online and in the arenas. Competitions and digital content, such as 'Point of the Month', will highlight the best plays of the season each month across Betclic’s social media channels.

The partnership will also come to life directly on court, with the Betclic Challenge organised during an interval, allowing a selected Betclic player to win free bets through an immersive on-court experience. The 'Betclic Player of the Match' trophy will be awarded to the best player in each match. Designed in the style of the Player Cards on the Betclic app, this trophy and presentation will benefit from dedicated visibility on the arenas' screens and LED boards.

These activations are designed to extend the matchday experience and create new touchpoints between clubs, players, fans, and Betclic communities.

Betclic and the League will also continue their collaboration on the programme dedicated to combating the cyberbullying of athletes. This initiative is part of Betclic's commitment to supporting athletes against an issue that extends far beyond the court and represents a significant challenge for the entire sports world.
