Bordeaux, 10 June 2026 - Just days before the kick-off of the 2026 World Cup, Betclic, official partner of the French national football team, unveils its unprecedented initiative to accompany this extraordinary competition. A new version of the application, an enriched betting offer, exclusive promotions and content focused on the Bleus, exclusive live broadcasting of all matches for betting purposes, and a reinforced system for player protection: Betclic is mobilising to provide fans with an exceptional World Cup experience. 

A new application designed to experience the World Cup differently 

To coincide with the Football World Cup, Betclic is launching a special version of its mobile application.  

Conceived as a true “super app” for the World Cup, this version is the richest and most ambitious ever developed by Betclic, combining a wide selection of bets and the most competitive odds; live broadcasting of all matches for betting purposes; and for the first time in the French market, a “social” section where all betting fans can invite their community of friends to experience the event together.  

An official partner of the French national football teams since 2021, Betclic has been the go-to app for Bleus fans since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.  

At the heart of the initiative, a brand-new “World Cup Center” will centralise all the new features and experiences dedicated to the competition:  

  • An immersive fan zone with dedicated entertainment, the competition schedule, matches of the day and exclusive features celebrating the key moments of the tournament.  

  • Personalised gaming experiences before, during and after the matches, featuring missions and rewards focused on the Bleus. 

  • A new social space, integrated directly into the application, for the first time in France, allowing fans to create their profile, follow their friends and share their bets and predictions to collectively experience every match.  

  • An enriched offer featuring more bets on individual player performances, and new live mechanics designed around the key moments of the matches. 

The new application will also offer an unprecedented depth of market, with up to 600 betting options on a French national team match.  

An exclusive live experience throughout the competition 

Throughout the 2026 World Cup, Betclic users will be able to bet while watching the matches within the application (“Watch & Bet”), as Betclic will be the only operator to offer this premium experience exclusively for the duration of the tournament in France, alongside M6 and BeinSport. 

This feature will allow players to access real-time odds and betting features while following the matches directly from the application. 

Advertising moderation  

Betclic has planned a media support plan to match the scale of the sporting event (TV, billboards, digital and, as part of a partnership with M6, sponsoring the broadcast of the main matches of the competition).  

Betclic's advertising investment plan for 2026 has been previously evaluated and approved by the National Gaming Authority (ANJ), as required by the regulatory framework. 

Finally, in May, alongside the M6 and BeIN Sports channels, Betclic committed to advertising moderation by voluntarily agreeing not to advertise during the additional commercial breaks offered as part of “cooling breaks”. 

Responsible gaming: an enhanced framework throughout the competition 

Given the unprecedented context of this World Cup (late kick-off times, doubling of the number of matches and teams...), Betclic will also strengthen its vigilance mechanism for responsible gaming throughout the competition.  

The operator will implement dynamic restrictions on its marketing communications, with limits on messages sent to players, adjusted send times, and a nocturnal marketing blackout between 1 am and 8 am. 

The Bordeaux-based company will also roll out prevention and awareness messages before and during matches, encouraging players to set their own limits, monitor their activity, or access the tools available to take a break.
