Betclic Côte d'Ivoire and Ivoire Agora are launching the second edition of the Betclic Agora League.

Abidjan, 13 March 2026 – Betclic Côte d’Ivoire, a key player in online sports betting, in collaboration with Ivoire Agora, a company holding a Public Service Delegation, announces the launch of the second edition of the BETCLIC AGORA LEAGUE. Dedicated to the ‘Petits Poteaux’ football discipline, this competition confirms Betclic Côte d’Ivoire’s commitment to growing this amateur sport deeply rooted in the neighborhoods of Abidjan.

A structured competition serving Ivorian urban sport

A true sports phenomenon, the ‘Petits Poteaux’ football discipline occupies a central place in the daily lives of many young people. With the BETCLIC AGORA LEAGUE, Betclic Côte d’Ivoire and Ivoire Agora provide an organized and competitive framework to structure the discipline and reveal local talents.

For this second edition, 40 teams from four municipalities in Abidjan – Yopougon, Koumassi, Abobo, and Port-Bouët – comprising 320 players will defend the colors of their neighborhoods.

Organized in an itinerant manner, the competition will last for one month, from 28 March to 25 April 2026, featuring a shorter and more intense format than in the first edition. Each municipality will host qualifying phases before a grand final scheduled for 25 April.

The competition will also be marked by a significant moment with a gala match pitting a team of legendary former players from ASEC MIMOSAS against the '11-Star' of the tournament (composed of the best talents identified during the finals in the 4 municipalities). This match will create a symbolic bridge between professional football and popular practice.

A unifying competition serving local communities

Beyond sporting performance, the BETCLIC AGORA LEAGUE is part of a logic of mobilization and social cohesion.

Mobilization committees will be set up in each municipality to encourage supporter engagement and to make each stage a true moment of popular celebration.

Several awards will recognize the participants of the competition – best player, fair-play player, best coach – as well as the most remarkable initiatives in community mobilization, thereby reinforcing the values of respect, commitment, and friendliness upheld by the event.
