Bordeaux, July 15, 2025 - Betclic, the leader in online sports betting in France, announces its partnership with the Arkema Première Ligue (APL), the highest level of women's football in France. Already a partner of the French women's national teams, Betclic confirms its desire to become a strong ally of women's football.

A championship on the rise

For several seasons, the Arkema Première Ligue has experienced exceptional dynamics. A further step was taken in 2024 with the creation of the Women's Professional Football League (LFFP), marked by a record of 220 players under contract, a very competitive championship, record attendances, and viewership.

The FFF, which aims to reach 500,000 licensed players by 2028, has launched a large-scale plan for the feminization of football, allowing an entire ecosystem to be structured at high speed, and Betclic is happy to be involved.

The game takes on a new dimension in the Betclic app

Since its opening to betting in May 2024, the Arkema Première Ligue has risen to first place among national women's competitions bet on the Betclic app.

Open matches, unpredictable scenarios: women's football is a new exciting playing field for bettors, where live betting occupies a major place in how bets are placed.

With around fifty odds available per match, enhanced betting offerings, and numerous activations around championship matchups, the Arkema Première Ligue will benefit from significant exposure in Betclic's communication, especially through the App, which is frequented by over 3 million players each month.

A commitment in support of the diversity of French football

Women's football is not only a performance ground, but also a lever for transformation. By supporting the Arkema Première Ligue, Betclic aims to encourage equal opportunities, access to sports for all, and advocate for a more inclusive vision of sports.

The APL is a benchmark championship, featuring clubs that compete in major competitions. We want to be where the sport is progressing, where the audiences are evolving, where the passions are growing. Women's football ticks all the boxes, and we are proud to contribute to its development alongside Jean-Michel Aulas (President of the LFFP) and Philippe Diallo (President of the FFF)”, declares Nicolas Béraud, CEO of Betclic.

Jean-Michel Aulas, President of the LFFP: “All the indicators are green for the Arkema Première Ligue which has seen considerable growth this season. After Arkema renewed its naming partnership, it is now Betclic’s turn to commit to our championship. The arrival of leading economic partners demonstrates the enthusiasm generated by women's football in France and validates the FFF's commitment to it. Our ambition is to make the Arkema Première Ligue one of the best leagues in the world. The support of companies like Betclic greatly helps us achieve this.”

Philippe Diallo, President of the FFF: “I am very happy with Betclic's commitment to our elite women's championship. The FFF has high ambitions for the Arkema Première Ligue. Receiving the support of such a powerful brand as Betclic is an extremely encouraging sign. This partnership will contribute to the development and recognition of high-level women's football. The FFF has made feminization an important focus of its policy. Our partners, like Betclic, fully embrace this. I am pleased.”
